Ashley was
owned by Pat Sutton in Sabillasville, MD and Blue Ridge Summit, PA.
They also own the Blue Ridge K-9 Dog Training Center and Blue Ridge
Longhorns. Ashley was a wonderful little dog, bright and full of vim
and vigor. She was the apple of her mom's eye. She was always the demo
dog at the dog training classes and loved being the center of
attention. When Pat and I would go to dog training classes with my
Winnie and Ashley, Ashley ALWAYS sat on my lap. In her last 2 years of
life she developed a non reversible blindness and adapted unbelievably
to not seeing. You would never have guessed that she was blind.
She
was a very precious doll and will be missed by all who knew her.

THE
RAINBOW BRIDGE
There
is a bridge connecting Heaven and
Earth.
It is called the Rainbow Bridge
because
of its many colors. Just this side
of
the Rainbow Bridge, there is a land of
meadows,
hills, and valleys with lush green
grass.
When a beloved pet dies, the pet
goes
to this place. There is always food and
water
and warm spring weather. Those old
and
frail animals are young again. Those who
have
been maimed are made whole again.
They
play all day with each other. But there
is
only one thing missing. They are not with
their
special person who loved them on
earth.
So each day, they run and play until
the
day comes when one suddenly stops
playing
and look up. The nose twitches, the
ears
are up, the eyes are staring and this
one
suddenly runs from the group. You have
been
seen and when you and your special
friend
meet, you take him or her in your
arms
and embrace. Your face is kissed again
and
again. You look once more into the eyes
of
your trusting pet. Then you cross the
Rainbow
Bridge together, never again to be
separated.

Blessing
May
the roads rise to meet you,
May
the winds be always at your back
May
the sun shine upon your face
The
rains fall softly upon the fields
And
until we meet again
May
God hold you in the
hallow
of His hand.

Sometimes the hurt is too big for words…
13 years of great memories, exciting adventures and an extraordinary
friendship will never be forgotten.
Everybody that met Booger could see how much love she held for her
friends.
She had a special greeting for everyone that knew her- a wag of the
tail, a nose in your hands and a smile. She was one of the few
dogs that could actually smile.
Booger was a smart dog, too smart for her own good, we sometimes
said. She knew exactly which pair of shoes meant it was time for
our run. You couldn’t jingle the keys without her running to the
front door to “go for a ride”.
Booger became part of the Mulligan family and became a part of
everything we did. She went to work with us. She went to
the store with us, to the movies, shopping and many road trips.
The house seems so empty without Booger. Time will heal the pain,
but the emptiness in our hearts will never go away.
We know you are in a better place now. You arthritic back and
legs are healed and you can now run like you used to. Your
hearing is restored and you can hear the slightest noise and
investigate.
We love you and miss you- save us a place.
